Pep band updates! Tomorrow (1/24) we will be playing for the varsity basketball games! Call time for band students is 5pm! There will be NO pep band Saturday (1/25)- good luck to all students involved in basketball, wrestling, and speech! Go Cougars!

DRIVERS ED SIGNUP: Drivers Ed will be offered this year with Tom King as the instructor. Sign up in the Superintendent’s office, 402-687-2363. The cost is $290. Class times will be May 3rd, 10th, 17th and 19th. You don’t need a permit if you’re 13 to drive or take driver’s ed. You have to be 14 before October 15th of this year to take Drivers Ed. More information will follow signup.

FYI------We will have Parent' Night for HS Basketball on Tuesday, Jan. 28th when the HS BB teams play Madison. We will announce the girls before the start of the Girls Varsity warm-up, approximately 6:00 PM and the Boys before the Boys varsity warm-up at approximately 7:30 PM.
The Girls and Boys Wrestling teams will have their Parent's night on Thursday, Jan. 30 when they have a triangular with Homer and Winnebago. They will be announced before the start of the meet at 4:50 PM. The triangular starts at 5:00 PM.
1st year preschoolers learned about Martin Luther King Jr. today. We used white and brown eggs to help preschoolers understand that we are like the eggs, we look different on the outside, but on the inside we are all the same in that we are people who deserve to be treated kind and we can be friends with everyone no matter what they look like.

LDNE will have a 10:00 a.m. late start on Tuesday, January 21st. The Decatur bus will depart for Lyons at 9:20 a.m. There will be no breakfast served. The juniors will still be attending the John Baylor test prep workshop, but the start time has been pushed back to 10:30 a.m.
