This morning the parents of Emersyn, Hayden and Camryn Taylor in first year preschool class came to teach us about what they do while working in an underground rock quarry! We started with some exercises (just like they start their day at work), then we listened as we learned about all the safety gear they wear, we looked at real life pictures to see what it looks like over 600 feet underground! We also got to try on the helmets and a safety vest, look at real rocks from underground, play with replicas of the equipment in sand, color pictures of the different equipment and use play vehicles to move pretend rocks. Children got to bring home safety glasses, a squishy rock, a coloring book and will receive safety vests next week so they can pretend to work in an underground quarry too! Thank you to the Taylor family it was a fun morning!

The music program is doing a soda float fundraiser at todays track meet starting at 11am! $4 for a soda float or $3 for a sundae! We will sell until we run out! Stay cool at the meet while supporting these amazing students! Hope to see you there!

The HS track meet that was scheduled for Tuesday (4/7) has been postponed until Wednesday (4/8), starting at 10 am. The location has been changed to West Point.
Spring Sports Memory Mates orders have been extended until Thursday, May 9th. No orders will be accepted after that date.

1st Year Preschoolers also had a special visit from the Cougar Mascot and 8th Grade Student Council Students this week! The Cougar listened to a story with us and then gave us a candy egg to go along with our basket of treats we were making.
1st Year Preschoolers had an "EGG-CELLENT" afternoon with our families! We went on an egg hunt, ate a snack and participated in a variety of egg activities!
