Last night 5 of our board members attended the NASB area meeting in Fremont ~ Corey Petersen, Leah Miller, Jolene Troutman, Jim Vlach, and Evan Myers. During the Awards of Achievement program Jolene was honored for reaching level 3, Evan and Leah for reaching level 4, and Corey reaching level 5. Jim Vlach was honored for reaching level 10, the highest level in the Awards of Achievement program.

Students in Mr. Timm's Applied Science researched materials used by NASA in the heat shields of space capsules to understand thermal conductors vs insulators. They then designed and documented the success of their own ablative heat shields in protecting "Eggstranauts" on reentry.
