Safety matters and it is time to practice. Attached is our adopted Standard Response Protocol for LDNE.
Tomorrow at approximately 2:30 p.m. our students and staff will be practicing a tornado drill, followed by an evacuation drill to our reunification site, the Lyons Community Center on Main Street. (This is only a drill)
The students will walk downtown and will return for a normal dismissal. If you have any questions, please contact the school at 402-687-2363.

Good luck Cougar Cross Country as you take on your first meet at Logan View today! The women's high school race begins at 9:30 a.m. with high school men's and junior high races to follow.
Opening season of Volleyball will be Thursday, August 24 when the Cougars travel to Tekamah-Herman to start off their season. The JV match will start at 5:30 PM with Varsity to follow. There is no C team game due to T-H not having enough players. Matches will be streamed at:

Come cheer on the HS Varsity Volleyball team as they host Pender tonight at 7:00 PM in a Jamboree Volleyball match. Proceeds go towards the NE HS Sports Hall of Fame. All spectators must pay. Admission prices: Adults - $6 and Students - $5. No Activity passes are allowed.

Big Shout Out to Colten for being invited to the Global Youth Institute of the World Food Prize. Colten will attend as one of about only 200 delegates from around the world in October and will interact with global leaders on Food Security Issues. Congratulations!

The LDNE Elementary Walking Club started strong this week. The guest of the week was Mr. Hosch. Class of the Week is 5th grade with 90% Participation. Walker of the Week is Charlie Weber who showed up with enthusiasm every day to participate.
3's Preschool has had a busy week with 19 new Cougars joining our school! We've been learning the routines of school, meeting new friends and teachers, sharing and playing together, learning about our classroom centers, playing outside and sharing meals together! We are excited for a fun year!
