Elementary Resource Teacher
BA in Elementary Education with an Endorsement in Special Education K-12

Biographical Information
My education began in the rural town of Osmond, NE.  I attended grades K-12.  I then went to college at Wayne State College where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Education.  My first teaching experience was at a rural school in Wayne County.  I taught students in grades 4-8 for 2 years.  We then moved to Decatur where I spent the next year substitute teaching in the Lyons and Decatur schools.  The following 2 years I taught in the Lyons-Decatur Schools as the High School Title teacher for half a day and often subbed for the remainder of the day.  I then went over to the Decatur Center and taught elementary resource for half of the day and kindergarten for the other half.  During the first few years of this teaching experience, I returned to college and earned my endorsement in Special Education K-12. I stayed in this teaching position for the following 13 years.  After these 13 years, the Decatur elementary school began to transition their elementary students over to Lyons.  I came to Lyons and was an upper elementary and high school resource teacher.  For the past 11 years, I have been an elementary resource teacher.
