The BRLD FBLA community service projects for this year include supporting the March of Dimes and the FBLA Foundation, Adopt a Highway Trash Pickup, serving for the Fire Department fundraiser, and partnering with other student organizations to support the Hearts and Hands food pantry. In addition to these projects, Dustin Burgett, the FBLA president, has initiated two more projects. In December, Dustin arranged for the FBLA to help deliver food for Meals On Wheels over Christmas break. The second is a Pay-It-Forward project involving Hat Days. Dustin met with school administration to get permission to have a "Hat" day every other Friday where students pay to wear a baseball cap. The FBLA is accumulating the money to be given away to someone in need later this semester.
