The Northeast Music Department recently put on two performances. Both shows went great and were enjoyed by all. The first one was the Fall Recital, which consisted of students performing solos and in small ensembles. This really showed the talents that the students had. The second show was the Fall Festival Concert and was the first large concert put on this year. All music ensembles performed in this.
The Fall Recital included music students and special guests that played any music that they chose. The special guests were Mr. Timm, Mr. Hosch, and Mrs. Sharp. Some of the performers from the recital included: Kelsey Payton, Jessie Mutum, Tatiayana Harris, The Fifth Grade Band, The Sixth Grade Band, Amelia Schlichting, Reid Preston, Layne Miller, and Bobby Castle, special guest Caleb Schlichting, and many more!
The Fall Festival Concert turned out very well. The High School Choir started the concert with the songs Sansa Kroma, Hero, and Seasons of Love. After that the Jr. High Band had a terrific performance with Amazing Grace and Mountain Hoedown. The fantastic Music Appreciation Class played Ode To Joy and Horse With No Name. They had Special guest stars to sing while they played Horse With No Name. Then we had the Jr. High Choir performing the Latin song Gaudeamus Hodie and Thank You Soldiers. The great High School Band finished the night with City of Champions and Selections From Indiana Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Thank you to all of the performers and everyone who went to watch the performances. It really means a lot to the performers when they have a large crowd supporting them.
