Harvest of Harmony
Trip To Harvest of Harmony
By Amelia Schlichting
On October 6, 2012 LDNE music students went to Harvest of Harmony. The students got up at 5 am. to go to Grand Island. The students watched more then 100 bands in the parade! The Cougars went to the field competition too.
The students survived the cold. They got to choose if they wanted to stay and finish watching the competition or go home. The vote was anonymous and they stayed for the rest of the competition. They barely complained and had a fun time.
“I had a fun time and I really enjoyed all of it” said Jacob Nelson one of the students that went to Harvest of Harmony. Another student said “My favorite part was watching the different bands.”
It was a really cool opportunity to watch bands of all sizes. The students were able to get new ideas for what songs they play and how they march. It was truly a great time.
