Wayne State Honor Band
Recently Wayne State College held its annual Festival of Bands. The Festival of Honor Bands occurs on the last Saturday of January each year and consists of three honor bands. The bands are comprised of High School and Junior High School students from Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota who come together for a full day of rehearsals culminating in a late afternoon concert. Students are selected on the basis of a taped audition and given the opportunity to work with guest clinicians.
Brent Miller and Heidi Miller both submitted strong auditions, but Heidi was the one to be accepted. Heidi earned 4th chair out of 20 flutes. Congratulations to both Heidi and Brent being brave enough to audition for the honor band. Be sure to check out the slide show.
