School will dismiss at 2:00 P.M. again today for heat and humidity.

 

There will be a Pep rally on Friday during 8th hour.  The Cheerleaders have named this week  as "Building Cougar Spirit" week. Their goal is to be the loudest and most supportive student body at our VB and FB games. Each class is to make VB and FB spirit posters and bring them to the pep rally to be judged. The class with the best poster wins a pizza party from the cheerleaders.

Don’t forget to get your Cougar tattoos from Mrs. Mace. 2 for .25 cents!!! Stop in before or after school to purchase tattoos before volleyball or football games!

 

Reminder:  Drumline practice is at 7:30 am tomorrow.  For questions talk to Mr. Mayo.

 

The National Honor Society Members are selling creamed honey as a fundraiser until September 10th.  We have 3 flavors (Raspberry, Cinnamon, and Natural) for sale in 8 oz jars that sell for $5/jar or $14 for multiples of three.  See Mr. Timm if any questions or to order.

 

Student Council meeting on Wednesday during B-lunch in the Art Room.

 

Sports Button pictures will be taken by the Pom squad again this year, starting tomorrow morning and then all week in the gym, before school starts.  Cost is $3.00 per button.  Money paid at time picture is taken.  This is for HS & JH VB & FB and band members.

 

First HS Volleyball game will be on Thursday, Sept. 2, starting at 5:30 p.m. vs West Point-Beemer.

 

HS Football game on Friday, Sept. 3rd is Parent’s Night.  This game is against Winnebago and starts at 7 p.m.

 

A Jr. High Dance will take place on Friday, September 10th from 7-10 in the small gym.  Admission is $3.  Jr. High students from Bancroft-Rosalie, Pender, Scribner-Snyder, Oakland-Craig, Logan View, and Tekamah Herman Schools have been invited to attend as well.  Refreshments will be served for $1. 

 

On Saturday, Sept. 4, the JV & C team travel to Emerson for a tournament to start at 9:00 a.m.

 

There will not be any school on Monday, Sept. 6 for Labor Day.

 

The Fremont Area Medical Center will be providing a Sports Trainer again this year.  He plans to be here on Thursday mornings.  Students who need to see the trainer will need to sign up in the Principal’s office.  If you are signed up, meet with him in the gym when you are called from class.

 

7-12 students needing to ride the athletic shuttle after school will need to sign up at the front office each day.

 

 

Interested in participating in Mock Trial? Sign-up in the Guidance Office or talk to Mr. Wantz.
