TUESDAY, MARCH 9,2010
Congratulations to the JH Girls BB team as they took 3rd place in the Oakland tournament yesterday.
Tonight is the JH/HS Spring Concert. Plan to attend the Chili Supper fundraiser that will be served starting at 6:30 p.m., all you can eat for $5. Concert is at 7:00 p.m.
Today, there will be a post prom meeting at 6 pm in the library. Freshmen and sophomore's who want to take part in planning the evening fun need to be there. We will be done by the time the chili supper starts.
Drama: Please stop in within the next three days to complete an audition form. Auditions will be after school Tuesday-Thursday. I can work different schedules for students who are in track or golf. Just come see me, Mrs. Mace!
Drama Meeting: Today at 3:30 in Mrs. Mace's room --Techies and Actors please.
Cheer Meeting: Tomorrow at 3:30 in Mrs. Mace's room for all 8th-11th grade girls interested in trying out for the 10-11 season. Cheer practice & tryouts are scheduled for March 23rd-29th.
Spring School pictures will be taken on Wednesday, March 10th. Reminder that parents can bring in preschool children for pictures. Preschoolers in class will be taking pictures during their session.
The end of the 3rd quarter is Thursday, March 11th. School will dismiss at 2:00 p.m. and no school on Friday for spring break.
With this being the end of the winter sports season, all students are asked to remove any papers, posters, stickers, etc. from the outsides of your lockers. Be careful and get all the tape off when you remove. Any problems, let the office know.
The spring play will be "The Music Man". The drama students are teamed up with Pampered Chef for a fundraiser. Contact the office at school to see a catalog or get instructions for on-line ordering. Thank you for your support of our Drama Dept.
Thank you to all who have contributed to Pennies for Patients. Special thanks to First National Bank who matched the K-12 contributions on Friday with $200. The overall class winner for “B“ lunch was the Seniors. The “A” lunch winner was the 8th Graders. They will get to eat first at their lunch period for the next 2 weeks. The winner of the ice cream party is the 5th grade.
Lost & Found: There is a pair of glasses in the front office. Alysha P. has misplaced her class ring somewhere in the building, has anyone seen it?
Yearbooks on sale through March 19th. Cost is $40.00.
Quiz Bowl Team: There is a sign up in Mr. Timm's room for Morningside College's Quizbowl on Saturday, March 20th. For more details ask Mr. Timm.
Try-out practice for the 2010-2011 Pom Squad will start Monday, March 15th at 7:00 AM. Reminder to get your signature page turned in at the Principal’s office.
The Lyons-Decatur Northeast School Board approved that we will have school on the Monday after Easter.
