“Congratulations to all FFA members who participated in the District Career Development Events. Special Congratulations go to the two District Champion Teams: Livestock Management (Eric Anderson, Eric Miller, Loren Peterson, Vanessa Vetick, Starla McMullin, and Jennifer Huffman) and Farm Business Management (Eric Anderson, Eric Miller, Emily Ueding, and Vanessa Vetick). Congratulations also go to top individuals: Eric Miller, 1st in Farm Management, Eric Anderson, 2nd in Farm Management, Vanessa Vetick 3rd in Farm Management, Jacob Maslonka 4th in Agriscience, and Beau Brink 4th in Nursery and Landscape Management. Good Luck at State FFA Convention in April!”
Congratulations to the JH Girls BB teams as they had a win over Tekamah-Herman yesterday.
Drama Night this evening from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Drama students: if you are planning on auditioning for the play, you are required to be there. This will be your first audition! Techies are encouraged to be there as well, see Mrs. Mace if you cannot attend. The spring play will be "The Music Man". The drama students are teaming up with Pampered Chef to do a fundraiser. Contact the office at school to see a catalog or get instructions for on-line ordering. Thank you for your support of our Drama Dept.
We had 3 vehicles blocking the fire lane just east of the Ag building on Thursday. Do not park in the fire lane (northwest corner of the north parking lot). When the snowdrift melts it will allow for more parking slots.
Quiz Bowl Team will travel to North High in Sioux City on Saturday for competition. The van will leave at 7 a.m. on Saturday. Meet at the front doors by the Superintendent office.
Speech –Mrs. K will be gone after school today. Speech practice on the weekend can be scheduled. Leaving on Monday at 7:50 a.m. for Districts in Bancroft-Rosalie. Green sheets available with Mrs. Brokaw.
JR. HIGH/HIGH SCHOOL: The Pennies for Patients campaign began Monday, March 1 and runs through today, March 5. The overall class winner will earn the right to eat first at their lunch period for the 2 weeks following the end of the campaign. Today 3/5 – MONEY MATCH**. First National Bank will be matching K-12 contributions today up to $200.
Thank you to all who have contributed to Pennies for Patients. There are name tags available to purchase that hang up in the breezeway, get at the office for a $1.00 each.
Lost & Found: There is a pair of glasses in the front office. Alysha P. has misplaced her class ring somewhere in the building, has anyone seen it?
Yearbooks on sale through March 19th. Cost is $40.00.
Today is the last day to sign up for drivers education classes in the Superintendent's Office. Forms will be mailed at a later date for those that sign up.
Girls (8th-11th grade)wanting to try out for the 2010-2011 Pom Squad, sign up at the Front Office and take an information packet. Practice will start Monday, March 15th at 7:00 AM.
