Good luck to the JH Girls BB teams as they host Tekamah-Herman today at 4:00 PM.
Drama Night is Friday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. If you are planning on auditioning for the play, you are required to be there. This will be your first audition! Techies are encouraged to be there as well. You need to talk to Mrs. Mace if you cannot attend.
Quiz Bowl Team will travel to North High in Sioux City on Saturday for competition. The van will leave at 7 a.m. on Saturday. Meet at the front doors by the Superintendent office.
Speech – leaving on Monday at 7:50 a.m. for Districts in Bancroft-Rosalie. Green sheets available with Mrs. Brokaw.
JR. HIGH/HIGH SCHOOL: The Pennies for Patients campaign began Monday, March 1 and runs through Friday, March 5. There will be daily contests/motivators and the overall class winner will earn the right to eat first at their lunch period for the 2 weeks following the end of the campaign. Today 3/4 – PENNY WARS*, and Friday 3/5 – MONEY MATCH**. Students can find donation boxes for their specific classes in their class sponsor’s room or where otherwise noted: 7th – Mr. Timm’s room, 8th – Mrs. Mace’s room, 9th – Mrs. Seagren’s room, 10th – Mr. Krohn’s room, 11th – High School library, and 12th – Mrs. Sharp’s room.
*PENNY WARS – Pennies have a positive value, and all silver change has a negative value. Students deposit silver change into a competing collection canister.
**MONEY MATCH – First National Bank will be matching K-12 contributions this day up to $200.
Yearbooks on sale through March 19th. Cost is $40.00.
Sign up for drivers education classes in the Superintendent's Office by March 5th. Forms will be mailed at a later date for those that sign up.
Girls (8th-11th grade)wanting to try out for the 2010-2011 Pom Squad, need to sign up this week at the Front Office and take an information packet. Practice will start Monday, March 15th at 7:00 AM.
The spring play will be "The Music Man". Auditions will begin the second weekend of March.
The drama students are teaming up with Pampered Chef to do a fundraiser. Contact the office at school to see a catalog or get instructions for on-line ordering. Thank you for your support of our Drama Dept.
Pre-School -6th are participating in ” Pennies for Patients”…..Thursday is “competition between the classes.” There are name tags to hang up in the breezeway that can be purchased in the office for a $1.00 each.
