Sign up for drivers education classes in the Superintendent's Office by March 5th. Forms will be mailed at a later date for those that sign up.
Any speech Student with extra time this morning, please come see Mrs. Kempcke.

Boys Basketball will meet in Mr. Poulosky’s room after school today for a meeting and equipment check-in.
"Congratulations to all members who had applications compete on the state level. Special congratulations go to those who placed in the top three and were named state finalists: Eric Anderson in Diversified Crop and Fiber and Oil Crop Production, Eric Miller in Poultry, Turf Grass, and Specialty Crop Production, Loren Peterson in Diversified Livestock Production, and Alysha Peterson in Agricultural Communications. Congratulations also to other state gold ratings: Eric Miller in three areas, Vanessa Vetick, KayCe Hollman, and Alysha Peterson. Good luck to the state finalists in April!

The National Education Association is building a nation of readers through the Read Across America program. Now in its thirteenth year, this program focuses on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and 
reading resources:
On March 2nd, the National Education Association calls for every child to be reading in the company of a caring adult. So, we at Lyons-Decatur Northeast are joining in the fun with Read Across Cougarland - The LDNE Student Council invites all students (preschool-12th) and staff to the gym on Tuesday March 2nd from 3:10 - 3:30 there will be reading, prizes, popcorn and fun. All elementary students need to bring a book and everyone needs to come to read. We want a Cougar gym full of readers...
Girls (8th-11th grade)wanting to try out for the 2010-2011 Pom Squad, please sign up this week at the Principal’s Office and take an information packet. Practice will start Monday, March 15th at 7:00 AM.
Drama: As of now, we have 474$ of items sold. Our goal is $3,000.00 so we have a long way to go. Be sure you are talking to parents, aunts, cousins, older siblings, and friends. If you haven’t sent an email out—do so ASAP. We have till March 15th to get the orders completed. Reminder that Drama Night is next Thursday. If you are planning on auditioning for the play-you are required to be there. This will be your first audition! Techies are encouraged to be there as well. You need to talk to Mrs. Mace if you cannot attend.
The spring play will be "The Music Man". Auditions will begin the second weekend of March.
The drama students are teaming up with Pampered Chef to do a fundraiser. Contact the office at school to see a catalog or get instructions for on-line ordering. Thank you for your support of our Drama Dept.
Fine Arts Night will be Tuesday, March 2nd in the HS Music Room. Time will be 6:30 PM.
Pre-School -6th are participating in ” Pennies for Patients”. Tuesday is “Dime Day”. Bring those dimes. There are name tags to hang up in the breezeway that can be purchased in the office for a $1.00 each.
