Second graders spent the last few weeks learning about the food
groups and food pyramid in both their classroom and during library
and computer times. During library times, student groups were
assigned a food group to research. They used the library catalog to
find a book on their food, and then they read the book and recorded
facts. They typed their reports and created a collage illustration
depicting different foods in their groups.
Their reports and illustrations have been put together into a
