Elementary teachers met on Thursday, August 13th to receive training on their new MacBooks. Gary Loftis began the workshop by introducing new technology that the school recently purchased. Along with MacBooks for each teacher the elementary purchased two new digital cameras, a mimio, clickers, and photo card readers to be used by teachers and students to promote technology.
Jalayne Keys led the workshop from 9:00 - 2:00. Teachers learned Mac Operating System basics as well as learning how to operate iPhoto and iChat. Pat Sharp then led instruction on how to post articles and photos to the school webpage. Be prepared to read about your child and his/her class activities on the school webpage throughout the year.
