Veteran's Day Program

The annual Veteran's Day Program was held on Tuesday, November 11th, at 9:00 A.M. at Lyons-Decatur School. Members of the local VFW's of Decatur and Lyons, the VFW Auxiliary, community members, students and faculty were guests at the program. Specialist Juan Moran, of the National Guard, was the speaker and Jerry Ludwig was the MC. The winners of the Patriot's Pen and Voice of Democracy papers were announced.
Congratulations to these students, Patriot's Pen winners were: 1st place Keirsten Appleton, 2nd place Jacob Maslonka, and 3rd place Haley Bacon, Voice of Democracy winners were: 1st place Sean Minton, 2nd place Jessica O'Connor and 3rd place was Kim Hansen.
