interested in the Quiz Bowl, please see Mrs. Ippensen.
Good luck to the HS Volleyball teams as they travel to West Point-Beemer to play in their first games today, starting at 5:30 p.m. with the 9th grade teams. Their next games will be on Tuesday, Sept. 9th at home vs Homer, games starting at 5:30 p.m.
On Friday, the Varsity football team travels to Mead for a 7:00 p.m. game.
The JV football team will play their first game on Monday, Sept. 8 at Cedar Bluffs, starting at 5:00 p.m.
Sport button pictures will be taken in the big gym at 7:45 to 8:00
a.m. until Friday.
The Siouxland Community Blood Bank will be in Lyons on Friday, September 5th from 10:00AM – 3:00PM at the City Auditorium. Be a Hero – Give Blood! Sign up at the Principal’s office.
The
cheerleaders are selling school spirit tattoos - 2 for $.25
cents!. Wear them on your cheeks for football, volleyball or
just for fun! See Mrs. Mace to purchase-lots of
variety!!
Check it
out. There is
an activities/club bulletin board across from Mr. Krohn’s
doorway. Schedules and announcements for and from the various
groups will be posted there. Daily announcements will be
posted on the bulletin board by Mr. Timm’s doorway.
Upcoming Events & Updates:
□ The FFA will have a meeting on Sept. 15 @ 7:00 p.m.
□ Parents Night for the HS football team will be at the Sept. 12th game against Omaha Christian.
□ On September 17th, school will start at 10:00 because of a teacher inservice.
□ The first Quarter midterm date is Sept. 19th.
□ Homecoming week is Sept. 22 to 26. Coronation will be Sept. 22.
□ The Fremont Area Medical Center will be providing a Sports Trainer again this year. Students who need to see the trainer will need to sign up in the Principal’s office.
