Harold and Katelyn on the bus

With a stop at Lyons and Decatur the bus was ready to rock and roll for two days of fun. We arrived in Kansas City about 11:00 and had reservations at Union Station for lunch. Nobody will forget the dinner plate size cinnamon rolls. After touring Union Station we went up the street to the Hallmark Center for a tour and a look at the history of Hallmark cards. Country Plaza for a little shopping and then to the hotel to get ready to go to the theater for the production of "Wicked". Everyone enjoyed the show and we soon learned that lower balcony is really upper balcony. Back to the hotel and lights out. Saturday we woke up to cool temps and a little rain but that didn't stop the group from a day at Worlds of Fun. Some people loved the Mamba and the Patriot and some people didn't. Some people flew on the rip cord and some didn't. Some rode the train and some didn't. Worlds of Fun proved to have something for everyone.

loading the bus

The bus loaded and Dennis, the bus driver and his GPS brought us home about 9:00 P.M. Saturday night. Thanks to Mr. Rose for all of his plans and organization and thanks also to the sponsors; Beth Doht, Melissa Brokaw, Pat Sharp, Roy Miller and Joey Brehmer. How fast can a group of 30 take roll call - that would be 11 seconds. To see all the fun check out the slide show.  Music Trip 2008
