Congratulations to the HS Track teams on their results in the Oakland-Craig Invite: 

BOYS- Chance Boden - Triple Jump (2nd) 

GIRLS - Finished with the runner-up trophy as a team.  Long jump - Megan Malloy (1st); High Jump - Kristen Cameron (2nd); Triple Jump - Megan M (1st) and Brianne Bacon (3rd); 400m - Brianne (2nd) and Morgan Daberkow (3rd); 3200m - Megan Long (2nd); 100m High Hurdles - (Rachael Nickel (4th); 100m - Morgan (3rd); 800m - Ashley Bacon - (2nd); 200m - Kristen (2nd); 1600m - Megan L (3rd); 400m Relay - 1st (Morgan, Brianne, Ashley, Kristen); 1600m Relay - 2nd (Morgan, Kristen, Ashley, Brianne).

 

This evening, the Secondary music students will present their Secondary Spring Concert.  It will start at 7:00 p.m.

 

Today is the last day for our seniors with good attendance.  The staff and administration at Northeast would like to send our best wishes to them in their future endeavors.  Reminder to get all bills and fines paid, books repaired and submitted, and lockers cleaned out!!  Senior Baccalaureate is on May 4, Sunday evening, at 7:00 p.m. at the New Life A/G Church in Lyons.  Senior Breakfast is on May 9, Friday, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lyons, starting at 7:00 a.m.  Graduation practice will follow the breakfast.  Graduation is on Saturday, May 10that 2:00 p.m.

 

Good luck to the Power Drive team on their competition on Saturday at Pacific Junction, IA.

 

Good luck to the Golf team as they play in the EHC Tournament on Saturday in Pender.

 

The EHC 7-8-9thgrade track meet is on Saturday at Stanton, starting at 9:00 a.m.  Good luck to our track team members who are going.  Bus leaves at 7:00 a.m. from Lyons.

 

Good luck to the FFA members who are at the National Land Judging in Oklahoma. 

 

Speech Team Members: see Mrs. Mace to help - speech cabinet clean out & inventory.

 

Reminder to students to pick up physical forms at the Principal’s office as there is a section to fill out before the Sport Physicals on Tuesday, May 6th, given by the Lyons Mercy Medical Clinic.  This will start at 12:30 p.m. and cost is $25 which must be paid that day; no insurance papers will be filed.  This is for 6ththrough 11thgrades. 

 

The last day for the high school and elementary libraries to be open to students will be Friday, May 9. All books need to be returned at that time and fines paid.  Should any student needing a book repaired; see Mrs. Lofdahl before May 9th.

 

Calendar Updates:

        Monday, May 5th - FBLA Awards night at 7:00 p.m.

        Monday, May 5th - Jr. Hi. track meet at Homer at 4:00 p.m.

        Tuesday, May 6th– Academic Awards program at 7:00 p.m.

        Cheerleader try-outs will be on Wednesday, May 7th at 4:15 p.m. in the old gym.

        District Track meet @ Wisner-P. @ 1:30 p.m.

        The Elementary Track meet is on Tues. May 13 at 12:00 pm.

        The Elementary Awards Assembly will be on May 15th, starting at 10:00 a.m. in the big gym.  The May calendar time is incorrect.

        Drivers Ed Class will be June 2, 3, and 4 from 8:00-12:00; and June 9-10 from 8:00-12:00.  Students will drive in the afternoon on those days. 

        June 7th@ 11:00 a.m., FAMC will have free sports physicals.

 

A pink ring was turned in at the Principal’s office. 

 

Reminder to 9 through 12th grade students that all class dues, library fines and fees must be paid before the last day of school. The following still owe class dues:  Sophomores:  Ariana H., and Loren P.  Freshmen:  Spencer, Cody, and Ruth.  Also owing are 8th Graders:  Bailey W., Mike M., Derek S., Chelsea A., Tanner C., John A.  7th Graders:  Keirstin, Tanner, Brandi J.
