special night honors student athletes

On Monday night April 28th, the gym was full of students, coaches, parents, sports boosters and a special guest, Huskers Sports Network and Color Analyst, the night's speaker Matt Davison. The potluck began at 6:30 with the coaches and guest speaker starting the line.
The night is a celebration of the hard work and dedication that our students put forth throughout the year. Thank you to everyone for making this year a success. Special awards went to Kristen Cameron and Chance Boden as they were selected female and male athletes of the year. Karlyn Miller, Danielle King, Jacob Niewohner and Anthony Bolen were presented autographed posters of Matt Davison's famous catch at the Missouri game for their overall positive attitudes and overcoming adversity to achieve. MVP awards went to Megan Malloy, volleyball; Kristen Cameron, basketball; Chance Boden, basketball and Anthony Bolen, football. A special thanks go to the Northeast Sports Booster Club for all they do for the school. Officers for 2008-9 are President, Rita Nickel; Vice-President, Terry Ueding; Secretary, Dana Hardeman; and Treasurer, Shelly Bacon. For more pictures of the night view the slide show.
