Miss the
Spring Play!
The Lyons-Decatur Northeast 2008 Spring Play will be performed for
K-12 students at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 24th, and the
public performance will be at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, April 25th.
"Politically Correct Bedtime Stories: Modern Tales for Our Life
&
Times" by James Finn Garner, adapted for the stage by Jennifer
Ippensen, provides a new, politically correct take on Red Riding
Hood, Chicken Little, and other stories and is bound to provide
entertainment for all.
Once upon a time, in the olden days, stories were told that were
sexist, discriminatory, unfair, culturally biased, and in general
demeaning to witches, animals, goblins, and fairies
everywhere! Join us as we enlighten and liberate these
classic bedtime stories and retell them in a way that is much more
in keeping with the society in
which we live today.
