Northeast Boosters Provides $14,000 in Athletic Improvements
On the evening of July 13th, 2004, a small group of student's parents, school administration, and faculty gathered at the school to discuss ways the community could help support Northeast student athletes. Goals and fundraisers were discussed, needs were established, officers were elected, and the Lyons-Decatur Northeast Sports Boosters was born.
In just four short years this volunteer group of parents has provided the direction and funding of many Northeast athletic improvements. From weightlifting equipment for the older athletes and “drop down hoops” for our younger Cougar Cubs, to guest speakers at the Athletic Banquets, Northeast Boosters has successfully accomplished many of its goals. In fact, Northeast Boosters has helped to provide approximately $14,000 in athletic improvements for Lyons-Decatur Northeast School.
None of these goals could have been met, however, without the support of the people and businesses of Lyons and Decatur. Also, a special note of appreciation goes to Betty Starr of the NorMil Foundation. This foundation has provided financial support for many Booster projects including the first purchase the Boosters made, a Free Form Jammer weight machine.
Northeast Sports Boosters thanks you for your past support. Your continued assistance will undoubtedly help propel all Northeast athletes to excellence both on and off the field.

How To Join
A one year membership runs from June through May but may be submitted at any time. Dues are $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family and can be sent to the current treasurer at the following address:
