February Students of the Month
Named for Junior & Senior High

Megan Long was named the February High School Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Martin and Laurie Long. Her plans after high school are to become an elementary education teacher. Her favorite class is Agriculture Education. She enjoys eating pizza for lunch. She maintains her scholastic excellence while participating in FBLA, basketball, volleyball, track, and softball during the summer. In her spare time she enjoys reading.
A new tradition has been started here at Lyons-Decatur Northeast. There is now a Junior High Student of the Month. Jacob Maslonka has earned this honor for the month of February. He is the oldest of two children, and his parents are Clinton and Alicia Maslonka. Jacob is a fan of swimming, science, and french fries. He has participated in junior high football, basketball, and track. He has already made college plans of attending the University of Nebraska Lincoln to become a psychiatrist.
