Kindergarteners visit the Farm

The Kindergarten class along with their teacher, Mrs. Beacom, and Amanda Gustin visited the Lori and Bill Riecken farm on Friday, September 21st. While there, they saw cows, exotic pheasants, chickens and eggs, and a rabbit. They each got to pick a miniature pumpkin or gourd from the garden to take home with them.
The 12 kindergarteners climbed onto a scale used to weigh the Riecken's calves, and they weighed 530 pounds altogether. After the tour of the farm, they enjoyed treats and had a few minutes to play and enjoy the fresh air. It was a fun afternoon, and the kindergarteners enjoyed getting to learn all about life on the farm.
