Cougars Drop Second Game in a Row

Cougars fall to Trojans 69-14

    Last Friday, the Lyons-Decatur Northeast Cougars took on the defending state champions the Wakefield Trojans at Wakefield. The Cougars lost 69 to 14. The Cougars offense had total yard accumulation of 183 to the Trojans 459 yards. Chance Boden led the team in rushing with 64 yards on 12 attempts. He was also the leading receiver with two grabs for 50 yards. Sean Minton scored both touchdowns on short runs. On the defensive side, Galvin Vetick recovered a fumble for the defense. Jacob Pond led the team with 12 tackle points. Chance B. added 8 with Clayton Wheaton totaling 7 points. The Cougars host the Homer Knights on Friday for their homecoming game.
