BUSINESS LAW
One Semester Course

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This class is designed to present the study of the legal rights and responsibilities necessary to be informed and productive citizens, employees, employers and consumers in the free enterprise system.

 

STUDENT GOALS

  1. Identify sources of public and private agencies that assist and protect individuals and businesses.
  2. Describe the basic requirements and obligations for an enforceable contract
  3. Explore career opportunities available in the field of law
  4. Discuss the ethical responsibilities of individuals and society
  5. Examine the principal areas of government regulation of personal and business operation
  6. Research how differences in laws among countries complicate business operations.

Objective tests and quizzes will be graded on a percentage grade of the total points on the test.

In-class projects will be graded on participation with group members, and the finished project
