Course Description:
An elective course into the basic areas of leadership. Students will learn aspects of the inner self, public self, and continual renewal. Students will develop skills and learn experience in a variety of concepts related to leadership in youth as well as life long development. An emphasis on servant leadership will stream throughout the course. During this course, students will complete a mentoring program.
Objectives:
- Students will describe the elements which contribute toward personal effectiveness in interpersonal situations. AE 12.6.1
- Students will identify and demonstrate the interpersonal choices associated with building effective relationships. AE 12.6.2
- Students will synthesize knowledge about personal interpersonal skills and relationship building in order to developinterpersonal leadership skills. AE 12.6.3
- Students will be able to describe the elements which contribute toward personal effectiveness in interpersonal situations, including locus of control, esteem, and relationships
- Students will identify and demonstrate the interpersonal choices associated with building effective relationships.
- Students will be able to synthesize knowledge about personal interpersonal skills and relationship building in order to develop interpersonal leadership skills.
- Students will develop the skills necessary to take a leadership role in society.

Grading:
Grades will be determined through quizzes, tests, student participation, work habits, class assignments, presentations, and other projects. The semester test will be worth 10% of your final semester grade. The rest will follow the weighting below:
